Everything you need to know
about laminate fitting.
Laminate is one of the most popular flooring choices for good reason — it's durable, affordable and quick to install. Here's what's involved.
What does laminate fitting involve?
Laminate flooring uses a click-lock system that floats over an underlay — it's not glued or nailed to the subfloor. This makes it one of the fastest flooring types to install, but proper preparation still matters.
The subfloor needs to be dry, clean and reasonably level. A good-quality underlay is essential — it provides cushioning, sound insulation and helps smooth out minor imperfections. Our fitters also leave an expansion gap around the edges to allow the boards to move naturally with temperature changes.
Every job includes door bars and trims as standard for a clean, finished look.
